The latest rumor is that Jessica Alba shuns diets and personal trainers in favor of a Nintendo Wii workout. Unlike most computer and console games, the Wii offers a really good physical workout. For instance, a certain boxing game is said to burn around 560 calories per hour. Also, Nintendo Wii will be coming out with a new game called Wii Fit that will be like having an electronic personal trainer.

It has now been confirmed by Maxis that there are plans to develop a version of Spore for consoles like the Xbox 360, Sony PS3 and Nintendo Wii, although they also said that they will not release them alongside the PC and DS versions.

The news was broke during a behind closed doors demo of the game at this week’s Leipzig GC.

Someone asked Maxis exec Patrick Buechener whether Spore will hit consoles and he said “Not right now, but we see this as a franchise.” And also followed with “It just won’t be at launch.”

The Nintendo Wii could do good things with this game, it would not need amazing graphics and the Wii’s control system would be fun while you evolve a single celled organism into a complex creature and eventually an entire civilisation.
